We’re hiring summer students

Youth en Route loves hiring students. They connect us with our mission, remind us to focus on youth and help us communicate and relate to our audiences.

This year we are stoked to have four funded Canada Summer Job positions. Two will go to bike mechanics working out of our Bike Hub Community bike shop. One will work May/June, the second in July and August.

A second role is for a student Cyclist in Residence – supporting our school programs. This is an amazing opportunity for kinesiology, education or disability studies students to work with students in school settings and build connections with teachers.

Finally, we have a communications generalist role. We have so much happening in 2026 that the storytelling opportunities are boundless – with school programs, CycleFest and our newly opened bike hub, there is so much going on.

Ask any student that’s worked for us, we’re a small charity that does big things. And we deliver an outstanding experience for students – with mentorship, learning and lots of chances to build your skills, portfolio and resume. We’re also a bunch of awesome folks!
